- THE FILM
How SciComms changed the narrative on the Australian Special Forces in Afghanistan
Issue: Over the past decade, Australians have heard a narrative from the main-stream media about the Nation’s Special Forces in Afghanistan. While one soldier was charged, and another dragged through a civil case - this did not reflect the reality of the thousands of Aussie Special Forces who served with honour in the War on Terror.
Solution: A 90 minute high-end documentary film was produced by Scicomms. It has now toured Australia extensively, been seen by thousands of Aussies, and generated media stories that have been viewed by millions.
Success: This has led to face to face meetings with Federal, and State Politicians, and begun a top-level dialogue which has re-defined the narrative for Australia’s Special forces.
